Sungmin awarded GOTS certification for finishing, printing, trading and warehouse distribution.
The Global Organic Textile Standard is one of the worlds leading processing standards for textiles made from certified organically produced raw materials.
It includes very strict environmental and social criteria along the product supply chain and is recognised in all markets across the world.
Sungmin are pleased to confirm they have achieved Oeko-tex human health and environmental certification for the viscose, cotton, Modal, linen and Lyocell fabrics being printed and finished within the mill.
This is a world recognised certification to provide assurance to consumers that Sungmin fabrics are free from harmful chemicals and safety produced, protecting people and the environment.

FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council and is the chain of custody certification that verifies that FSC-certified material has been identified and separated from non-certified and non-controlled material as it makes its way along the supply chain, from the forest to the market.
The viscose yarn used by Sungmin is made using FSC responsible and managed forests for the viscose pulp and the production is controlled to ensure this is not mixed with non certified fibres.
Global Recycled Standard certification for the recycled polyester fabrics used in Sungmin and the wet and dry processes used in the fabric production.
Sungmin will continue to expand and improve on the use of polyester and the various fabrics they can provide in line with this internationally recognised standard.
The first stage in the full ‘Bluesign’ accreditation. Sungmin are certified for the quality and use of the printing and dying inks being used throughout the mill.
Many processes continue to be improved in order to gain the full accreditation for the all production processes in the next few months.
